One it could be for ‘malicous’ purposes. i dont like Data dont get me wrong about that, but spreading misinformation is just wrong, because its EXACTLY WHAT Data did to all of us. Spreading misinformation and trying to get a mob on us. We should always have all facts checked FIRST before picking up the pitchforks…. otherwise…. how we any better then Data himself?

It was? Is there proof of this? Because thats pretty damning if there is.
Remember everyone… Evidence is what threw this whole debacle out the window because it was proven without a shadow of a doubt that the list was hypocritical… and malicious in nature and it was also proven that the evidence data provided wasn’t factual and was just an hit piece.
Anyone could fabricate these pictures as “This is Datas dog” and “hes an animal abuser see! get him!” And we all know how well the internet reacts to animal abusers… proven true or false.
As someone whos watched peoples lives get destroyed by misinformation, Id rather have all the facts and actual proof, proving without a shadow of a doubt, not hear say and word of mouth.

Sorry to hear about that. I had to uproot my entire identity because of this. I’ve managed to survive since, but the G4 fandom is by far the most toxic fandom I’ve ever been in, looking back. Not as bad back then, but still really bad. The levels of gatekeeping and purity-measuring are off the charts. Considering that you can’t escape it in any horse-related media…yeah. I might have left if there were a choice for me.
Sadly, you don’t choose your special interests. I’m on this train for life.

It served as a reminder that everything you ever type should be treated as something that is recorded and archived. It’s a shame people go through such lengths to burn others down to feel good morally. I’ve had to reshape my identity a fair bit too since I’ve received harassment.
